License Agreement

Scribe for Mac — paid license · Last updated September 11, 2026

This covers the paid license for Scribe for Mac, unlocked after the free trial (20 meetings) through a purchase processed by Lemon Squeezy. It doesn't cover Scribe Remote for iPhone, which is free and licensed under Apple's standard EULA, or the trial period itself, which needs no purchase.

What you get

What a "major version" covers

Scribe's version number has the form major.minor.patch. Your license covers the major version current at the time of purchase (for example, "Scribe 1") and every minor/patch release of it. If a future major version is ever released as a paid upgrade rather than a free one, your existing license keeps working on the version you bought — it does not stop working, and you are never charged automatically for the upgrade. An upgrade offer, if one exists, is optional and separately priced.

What isn't allowed

Refunds

Lemon Squeezy, as the merchant of record, honors refund requests made within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. Request one from the receipt email or the customer portal linked from Settings → License → Restore purchase.

No warranty

Scribe is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Scribe records and transcribes audio locally on your Mac; you are responsible for complying with wiretapping/consent laws that apply where you use it. See the Privacy Policy for what the app does and doesn't do with your data.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version is published here; changes apply prospectively, not to a purchase already made under the prior terms.
